In the summer, during august 21 – 30, I practiced a total of 8 working days internship in the Mitsubishi Corporation.
This internship program is carried out by Mitsubishi Corporation PR department （広報部）, and the whole practice is conducted in Japanese. The internship time is veryshort, mainly composed of two parts, the first part is training. The speakers are from Mitsubishi Corporation’s various business units, the topics of lectures are on the activities of Mitsubishi’s main business, historical evolution, and future trends. Through training, I learned that Mitsubishi Corporation have been growing with the development of modern industrial revolution in Japan, and the integrated trading companies （総合商社） have played an important role in the Japanese economy and society. Nowadays, Mitsubishi Corporation is no longer a simple trading company, but also an investment company with strong capital and a human resourcecompany with talented employees.
The second part is mainly about the writing of the task report. Our team was responsible for how to improve the information dissemination inside and outside of the company for Mitsubishi Corporation. I used the big data technology and webanalytics technology which I learned at the University of Tokyo to analyze the website of Mitsubishi Corporation and other companies of the same type and contributed a lot to the final report and our final presentation was highly praised by departmental leader.
