{"id":23376,"date":"2019-12-26T13:38:33","date_gmt":"2019-12-26T04:38:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pp.u-tokyo.ac.jp\/?p=23376"},"modified":"2019-12-26T13:38:33","modified_gmt":"2019-12-26T04:38:33","slug":"2019-12-26-23376","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/graspp.neopa.jp\/en\/news\/2019-12-26-23376\/","title":{"rendered":"Professor Toshiro Nishizawa chaired a session in the Fifth Tokyo Fiscal Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Professor Toshiro Nishizawa participated in the Fifth Tokyo Fiscal Forum <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cImplications of G20 Achievements for Asia\u201d jointly hosted by Ministry of Finance\u2019s Policy Research Institute (PRI), IMF\u2019s Fiscal Affairs Department and Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) on November 20-21, 2019 in Tokyo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pp.u-tokyo.ac.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Opening_Session_44a-300x116.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"116\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-23381 size-medium\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201c<i>Government officials and experts in fiscal policy from 19 countries in Asia and beyond had intensively discussed two following points: how to implement public investments in an effective and efficient manner while ensuring the macro-level as well as project-level debt sustainability, and how to keep fiscal sustainability under the demographic transition while coping properly with increasing needs on welfare.
