While a degree of change is always present in the international environment, over the past few years the pace of such change has accelerated dramatically. This happens not only because of the COVID-19 pandemic and its serious impact in almost every domain, but also as a consequence of the intensification of geopolitical competition, while economic as well as social woes (economic inequality, inflation, mass migration, population ageing, etc.) are deepening. One the other hand however, new technologies and the tireless commitment of countless individuals and organizations are in the process of shaping new opportunities. Dr. Ingrid Barnsley will navigate this complex landscape as seen from the vantage point of OECD, simultaneously providing advice to young talents on how to build a career in an international organisation.<\/p>\n

About the Speaker<\/h5>\n

Dr. Ingrid Barnsley<\/strong> is the Chief of Staff of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (OECD). Her portfolio includes the Office of the Secretary-General, New Approaches to Economic Challenges Seminar Series, and Strategic Foresight. She was previously the Head of Human Resources Management between 2016-2021. Prior to the OECD, she served in the International Energy Agency from 2007-2016 in various senior positions, including Head of the International Partnerships and Initiatives Unit.
\nDr. Ingrid Barnsley holds a Doctorate in Public International Law and a Masters in International Relations from Oxford University, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
