{"id":12978,"date":"2018-03-01T09:24:30","date_gmt":"2018-03-01T00:24:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pp.u-tokyo.ac.jp\/?post_type=student-bulletin&#038;p=12978"},"modified":"2018-03-02T13:11:55","modified_gmt":"2018-03-02T04:11:55","slug":"2018-03-01-12978","status":"publish","type":"student-bulletin","link":"https:\/\/graspp.neopa.jp\/student-bulletin\/2018-03-01-12978\/","title":{"rendered":"The Chicago Forum on Global Cities [Call for Applications]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h3>The Chicago Forum on Global Cities [Call for Applications]<\/h3>\n<p>GraSPP would like to nominate ONE extraordinary graduate student to participate in the Global Student Delegation during the Chicago Forum on Global Cities &lt;<a href=\"http:\/\/chicagoforum.org\/\">http:\/\/chicagoforum.org\/<\/a>&gt;, a three-day international conference in Chicago, on June 6-8, 2018.<br \/>\nThe Forum will convene a diverse set of leaders to discuss the rising influence of global cities and their capacity to solve many of the world\u2019s challenges.<br \/>\nIf you meets the following profiles and wish to join the Forum, please submit the requested documents below <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>by 5pm on Friday, 9th March<\/strong><\/span> to the Graduate School Office.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">If we have more than one application, GraSPP faculty members will conduct a screening.<\/p>\n<h4 align=\"left\">Documents to be submitted<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0Statement of Purpose (Free format, around 400 words)<br \/>\n* Applicants must describe they meet profiles as specified.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0CV (Free format)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 align=\"left\">Candidates should have the following profiles:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>GraSPP full-time master&#8217;s OR PhD student<\/li>\n<li>Between the ages of 22-35 years old<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English<\/li>\n<li>Studying in the area of &#8220;international affairs&#8221;, &#8220;economics&#8221;, &#8220;public policy&#8221; or &#8220;urban planning&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to the planning, success, and challenges of global cities<br \/>\n* Fore more details, please see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pp.u-tokyo.ac.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Letter-of-Invitation-to-Nominate-University-of-Tokyo.pdf\">the invitation letter<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Notes: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Chicago Council will waive the registration fee, cover three nights hotel in Chicago, and cover local costs including ground transportation and conference meals and activities.
